| Sadly we never easily appreciate the personal cost of fame, especially in the area of comedy celebrities where over the years many have been finally overcome by their demons in whatever form. A much more gruelling profession than I fear we realise. While Williams is quoted inevitably as a comedy actor I personally prefer his many dramatic film roles ("Good Will Hunting" onwards) and especially where he mixed the two ("Good Morning Vietnam") - he will be sorely missed as the next generation of Adam Sandler, Wilson Owen etc. do not seem to yet show that range of acting skills. |
