My wife's Kobo developed a problem with the charger/PC connection, which - looking at their forums - is pretty common. It was out of warranty so I took it apart and the connector is simply soldered onto the circuit board - the leverage of the plug is bound to break this kind of joint if you knock it. This is pretty poor design IMHO.
So unless they have redesigned the connection I would handle a Kobo very carefully when the cable is connected - and we didn't buy a Kobo to replace the broken one. The Nook glowlight is very nice. |
