Anyhow re your "one figure", considering it is the key foundation for your "argument"; was out by a factor of almost 100%; and was derived from a rabidly Islamophobic website, then it was no mere typo and deserved to be exposed for the Agenda it betrayed. And the fact that you refuse to amend or retract your whopper of a lie (27% versus 14%), even when pointed out, reveals your lack of integrity. As for the old Racist query of "What if your daughter came home with Muslim friends etc", Frank Dacey has answered for me beautifully. As for Muslims marching with offensive banners etc, where have I sought to defend people like them? Incitement to violence etc is a crime and should be punished regardless of who is doing it. Which is consistent with my regarding your and Ifti's Racism as being equally contemptible. Finally, having had the time to do some elementary research, I would offer this to explain at least partly the over-representation of Muslims in UK jails. People in their 20's comprise 13.6% of the UK population, but 33% of the prison population. (Should I be worried if my daughter comes home with some new friends who are young?). Similarly, people in their 30's comprise 13.1% of the population, but 28% of prison inmates. And as the Office of National Statisitcs pointed out after the last Census in 2011: "Muslims had the lowest age profile of the main religious groups." So there is a much greater correlation between Age and Criminality than Religion. Measnwhile, when we look closer at the breakdown by Religion, the percentage of Prisoners who profess NO Religion is 29.4%, whereas these comprise only 24% of the general population. Should I be bothered if my daughter comes home with a group of Atheists, like myself? Or should I demand she swap them for Hindus, on the basis that they comprise 1.5% of the general population, but only 0.5% of the prison population? Or should I simply stick to Christians to be on the safe side, but only so long as they are not anything to do with the epidemic of child-abusing Catholic Priests and Bushops etc, which presumably has escaped your attention, despite it being all over the media in recent years... As I said earlier, there are Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics, but Racists like you and Ifti are only really interested in the first two... |
