Well if it was support from all the people Giles had annoyed over the years then Rick Rowe would have swept the polls coming first rather than third... It would be highly ironic if the "Giles effect" had an impact because Peter Thompson seemed to ignore what a liability he was to them. I agree that it will be interesting to see how the Conservative group progresses because in recent years they have been little more than a glorified residents association for a section of the population in Chiswick rather than a political party for the borough. |
