| Quite a thought provoking thread. Totally get what Julian is saying, he’d be unhappy waiting 25 mins at a bank, but probably would if the alternative was not getting any money ( and if he needed the money there and then he’d wait) No bakery product that he’d be consuming himself is worth 25 minutes of his time. If I expected to wait 25 mins to get served in a pub, I’d find another pub unless there was some really compelling reason to be in that pub. But some people will happily spend £80 (or much more, the sky’s almost the limit) on a bottle of wine. Others won’t. £80 is over an hours work for most of us, but perhaps work is less boring than queuing in a pub or bakery for 25 mins. Just musing aloud! |
