| It never ceases to amaze me how nasty some people can be, whatever differences people may have over things that happened in the past, the treatment of the women who were forced into having their children adopted is appalling. It seems to me that it costs the government nothing to give a proper and sincere apology such as happened in other parts of the U.K. And what sticks in the throat - is how the men involved always managed to disappear scot-free with no blame attached at all. When you think of how so many young women suffered, especially those in Ireland, not to mention the children and how this affected them, it seems that 'Sorry' seems to be the hardest word. |
