| A nice story but far too generous to Hounslow Council. The site was derelict because Hounslow Council (HC) controversially evicted Thames Tradesmen Rowing Club in order to demolish the old boathouse, promising to rebuild a new facility. That new boathouse was never built and HC allowed the site to fall into disrepair. It’s great that young rowers are now starting to use the site again but there is no boathouse there! I cannot come up with any explanation for HC’s behaviour in destroying a community sports facility. |
