| As I haven't travelled on an air-conditioned bus in exceptionally hot weather I can't tell you whether the drivers will or won't turn it on for passengers. They do however currently switch on air cooling systems on older buses. There are too few full a/c buses in the fleet to know what the policy will be or indeed wang on about 'Khan's London'. It maybe that contracts require it to be used when its hot. You would hope, given declining passenger numbers, the bus companies wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot by giving drivers a directive not to switch it on but, if this is what happens, that's the time to complain loudly. |
