| Paul balances everything on his head, one item on top of the other. He’s a very clever cyclist. A lot of people still prefer to shop in person, particularly for groceries. A car park is a definite benefit and also encourages passing trade. A case in point is the way the footfall in Brentford Morrisons has dropped off a cliff since it moved to its current location, with a subterranean car park that hardly anyone knows is there. Meanwhile the Lidl on the Morrisons former site is flourishing. There are a lot of people who park in Sainsbury’s in Chiswick to pop down to the High Road too. Convenience for those who are time pressed. Paul is lucky to have a ‘job’ that seems to entail doing very little most days. |
