| There does seem to be a pattern to this - I have two friends who live just off CHR and they say they regularly see drug deals taking place. My knowledge of how this is policed comes mainly from The Wire and I believe even if a drug deal is caught on camera, it wouldn't justify an arrest. However, the dealers avoid being caught on camera because they know that if there is sufficient evidence to convince a magistrate that a restrictive order is justified, they will effectively be banned from an area. The advice you'd get from people who have been plagued with this problem is not to get frustrated with an apparent lack of police action and keep feeding them reports every time you see something you believe to be untoward. The more of this kind of information they have, the greater the chance of them being able to take action. |
