Interesting Peter. i haven't actually tried flattening those - I've noticed people have pulled some of these off and presumed it was just because in the past the instruction was to recycle without the top when they have been redesigned so that the lid is captured for recycling and to stop birds being able to find and swallow the lids and feed them to their young. I have noticed squashing them even a little can stop them blowing around the street so fast. |
