The notice clearly states the reasons for removal, so unless this can be disproved it looks as if there's nothing to be done about. Anyway the consultation period has elapsed. As to replacing the tree, I only just discovered that when a tree is removed the Council will replace it - BUT - not necessarily in the same place, or even near it. In the case of this particular tree, options for planting close to the original location are limited if damage to infrastructure has occured. A real shame to see it go as it is a lovely mature specimen. |
