| The traders and Councillor Biddolph lobbied for the road to be open to through traffic during trading hours. They were under the delusion that through traffic = more trade. You are quite right that it is senseless and it is self-defeating. But there is no helping those traders on Devonshire Road. They are determined to make their businesses less successful. |
