| Whatever one’s opinions about Greg Wallace I think he will be a hard act to follow. Any replacement needs to have an excellent palate, a wide knowledge of international food and flavours yet not upstage Marcus and Monica, the capacity to jolly along contestants and hopefully not have too many irritating habits! Who would want the job? Who would be good at it? I recall that when the seemingly irreplaceable Angus Deayton blotted his copybook HIGNFY made the smart move of rotating the chair. Perhaps Masterchef could rotate their ‘diner’ not weekly but seasonally? I hear that Andi Oliver and Grace Dent’s names have been mentioned. Who would people like to see in the role? |
