| Sad to read this statue is crumbling. Didn't really take much notice of it until I started reading a series of books during lockdown by Lesley Thomson, The Detectives Daughter Series, set in and around Hammersmith and Chiswick. The first installment was set in St Peter's Square and along the Thames and the statue was mentioned quite a lot.....loved walking round the area where it all took place! |
