| That also struck me as odd and, in addition, there were Council ads being displayed on the large digital hoarding on the road up from Kew Bridge. These would normally cost a five figure sum which seems a strange use of scarce public funds under normal circumstance. Perhaps there is an element of speculate to accumulate here - with the Council reasoning that by showing a big financial commitment to the culture bid makes it more likely to win. Perhaps they might be better of devoting funds to err... culture? |
