I noticed coming home last night that some of the cars parked with two wheels on the pavement in Fauconberg Road had been clamped, although there were others parked the same way that had not. I then spotted a Mercedes in Burnaby Gardens also sporting a "Denver Boot", so I therefore assume it was not related to the on-pavement parking. On inspecting the Merc I noticed his tax disc expired at the end of May. My guess is that this is part of the DVLA's drive against untaxed vehicles on the roads (either that or it's Ken's heavies going after unpaid congestion charges). Either way, if anyone reading this has an untaxed car on the road, I suggest you take rapid steps to legalise it before the clampers visit your street.
