| It would also be helpful if people stopped feeding the pigeons on the Common. Apparently it isn’t illegal to do so but some councils are getting round it by making it a littering offence although there need to be wardens as there are at Chiswick House and Gunnersbury. If only people realised that they are not doing the pigeons any favours by feeding them bread which doesn’t contain the nutrients they need so there’s all this runny poo and of course there’s ample roosting space up on the bridge. As for manhole ( sorry personhole ) covers HH don’t automatically replace them because it’s the responsibility of the utility companies although when they are unmarked it’s usually Thames Water. Presumably TW would know if they are theirs? |
