| Hi Chris, Good to know that you are following the footbridge saga - I still find it hard to believe that it is finally being built! There will be a lift and stairs at both ends of the bridge. The CGI in the W4 article shows the lift as a box-like structure to the right of the stairs at the Colonial Drive (Bollo Lane) end of the bridge. The original design had a ramp at this end but this was ruled out by the footprint of the residential development on this site. Stairs and lift between upper (office) level and undercroft (bus terminus) level within the business park have been in place for some time. Moreover, the bridge will "land" at the upper level providing level access at this end for most users (see drawing on WCGS website). |
