'given bail despite being charged with murder' I believe he is charged with manslaughter not murder and if my memory is correct I think the magistrate referred to this as one factor in granting bail 'Magistrate takes best part of 2 hours to announce...' Shouldn't the care and precision of his judgement be applauded as a sign of a fair judiciary rather than ridiculed?. He was explaining the full reasons for his judgement not giving a soundbite to the masses. 'And to think we complain about how things are in Britain...' And so we should when things go seriously wrong with the police (like Hillsborough) and in the courts (numerous cases of miscarriages of justice). |
