Has anyone convincingly explained to you why you need wooden borders at all? They constrain what you can do - how big the spaces are that you can devote to any one crop. They involve wasted space,the big spaces between each. They cost time and money to put in. I have worked my allotment for 36 years very successfully - vegetables all the year round- without any such stuff. Howard Glennerster |
