I just don't recognise these descriptions of slow and/or surly service.  It's not a "fast food" place or one that relies on a central kitchen in Clapham.  On the other hand, I haven't experienced genuinely slow service in the last three years, and I always get a friendly welcome there. It was appropriate that Michael Nadra should concentrate on fish when he first opened his own restaurant.  He has an honours degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering!  But he says he "missed cooking with meat".  I look forward to sampling the products of his new freedom, and his vastly expanded wine list too. We are very lucky to have such a superb chef in Chiswick.
