Even Cllr Ruth Cadbury (Brentford Ward), Leader of the Labour Group in the Council Chamber remarked to the audience how impressed she was with Cllr Reid's efforts...on this cross-Party activity. That was good to hear.
It was Ruth who said that we need to fill the MP's (Mrs Keen's) parliamentary postbag..as that's the sort of thing which impresses MP's at the House!!
Cllr Reid reported that in meetings at Westminster with others, Ministers were very aware of the passion of locals to say NO!. "Ministers and Government would be foolish and arrogant" to ignore local feelings.
"Mixed mode use of runways will result in 1/2 day "aircraft free" time disappearing" Someone said "It's criminal that it's been thought of even"
"The end of the 1950's Cranford Agreement will double the noise levels /readings for that poor suffering village..and residents might get up and go!!
People at the meeting and several speakers..did not believe what was in the Consultation Document.
A questioner thought the Government iffy for only issueing one copy/questionnaire of the Document per house/dwelling.
Such unfairness would reduce the voilume of responses. Then large areas of Feltham and some parts of W4 were without the forms.
A video was being made of the meeting tonight..and there are sure to have seen this display of NO NO NO's! (Hi Cllr John Todd!)
