"Fitting is basically a straight swap and is easy."

I changed my Velux blind a couple of months ago, from one that fitted into wooden slots on each side to one that slid down a metal slide. It wasn't a straight swap but I managed to do it myself, although I wouldn't say it was easy. Velux seem to change the blind specifications from time to time so it depends on how old the existing one is and what is needed to upgrade to a new one.
