| First Wes Streeting and today the resignation of John Healy, surely signalling the end of Keir Starmer's time in office. I can't see his likely successor, Andy Burnham making much improvement to the current economy, in our defence frailties, and asylum headaches. Burnham isn't going to be so bold as to ditch "stupid" net zero which would put our defence budget on an even footing, and he isn't going to go tough on reducing the welfare bill for fear of upsetting his backbenchers. He would make some cosmetic changes, and try to make retail and businesses' life easier. The immediate future isn't brilliant but I can envisage a right wing coalition headed by Nigel Farage (calm down) and Kemi Badenoch, both making the necessary changes to get GB out of the mire and look forward to a bright, maybe a brilliant future. |
