| It amazes me too Janice. We seem to have somewhere in the region of 380,000 homeless people at any one time, up and down the country. Overseas Aid requires a root and branch overhaul. Can anyone tell me exactly where all this money ends up, and how it is spent, as I can find no information at all? I also tried Sudan, but got absolute nowhere - no audit trail, but not surprising really as there is a civil war with little hope of peace, which has been going on for 3/4 years now, and the country is run by the military. I would guess that most of this aid ends up in the pockets of people like the Prime Minister Kamil Idris, and his cronies, with a few crumbs thrown occasionally to the starving inhabitants, who are grateful to their corrupt government, in order to prevent them from attempting any anti government protests. |
