| I had to check the date on the article on 'Deep Cleaning' Grove Park. The article was accompanied by a picture of streets being hosed down. Meanwhile we cannot get the underpasses cleaned or painted or streets swept regularly in the rest of Chiswick. Soon, as we know from previous years, weeds will grow taller than our children, Forest Bike bays will be full of energy drink cans, sandwich & takeaway debris and litter will swirl in the wind from overflowing bins and settle in unswept gutters. And yet here we are, less than 2 weeks before polling day being told that that private enclave that the majority of Chiswick residents are precluded from accessing via the A316 is now being hosed and polished. How does Grove Park attract such high end treatment whilst the rest of us who pay for it are thrown the occasional crumb? |
