And people were receiving Christmas cards sent before Christmas just this week.

Actually I do when I order something that would be a parcel get it sent directly from the company I've bought from - although I haven't used Amazon on principle for many years.

World of Books is good for books but for children I prefer to be able to send a personal note.  Books are also most satisfactorily bought after being able to see the book properly and turn a few pages before you send it unless you already know the book.

I stopped sending so many letters when all the restrictions on thicknesses and sizes came in.  You can now buy and print postage that you can download and print and then post.  Many people don't have printers and all this tech needs a lot of maintenance as it so often goes wrong and then an enormous of time is wasted and fixing or getting something fixed costs masses of time and time is money.  And then people wonder at poor productivity!

A lot of these new actions break the systems rather than adjust them and move them gently forward then in consequence they break countries apart.
