https://www.royalmail.com/    This is our privatised Royal Mail.  They are more interested in parcels now than letters. I think the times are pretty standardised now and I couldn't find the same page twice showing the urban and non urban basic times which are generally standard.  There are some postboxes marked Priority and that gives the impression that Royal Mail make more of an effort to empty those ones but I couldn't find a map of postboxes so I could plan which direction to walk in when I went out.  (I do actually know several around me.) They just seem to be trying to do more and more business online.  It's got so expensive and complicated that we hardly use it now.  I used to be able to send a child a book with a personal note but now the post costs more than the book.  Was that the plan?
