| I think the Met ulitmately is under the control of the Home Secretary but its governance comes under the GLA. The original plan for station closures was made under Johnson in 2013. I don't know for sure but I would imagine you won't be able to report crimes at the new 'station'. This would require a member of staff to be based there rather than out and about which surely is a better use of their time. A tiny proportion of crimes are reported in station and the Met are encouraging people to do this online or, if they can't by phone. |
