| The Cherry Blossom Brand was created in 1906 and the cherry trees were planted in Staveley Road in the 1920s. So far as I am aware these is no documented link between the two. But I would be happy to be corrected. Only three volunteers were out yesterday working to re-establish the tree pits around the cherry trees. This work is essential to prevent any further damage to the tree trunks when the grass verges are cut. |
