A shame. Hopefully Guy will read this. An awful lot of work has gone into lightweighting cans and bottles and in designing packaging so that it can be easily recycled. We used to have much more packaging that was made out of mixed materials. It has become easier to flatten nearly all boxes. Most cereal boxes just need the bottom of the box undoing and they will flatten. Even crows can use implements so definitely not hard for most people to lift the flaps on the tetrapak with the handle of a teaspoon (and get an extra mouthful of liquid out of it). http://www.wrap.org.uk/ https://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/take-action/work-with-us/ |
