| Before commenting I need to declare two interests: 1. My wife is an EU citizen. 2. We are no longer full time Chiswick residents, we are just regular visitors. I see the article on the homepage of the ChiswickW4 homepage regarding the visa office at Chiswick Town Hall. I can appreciate that this can bring added parking pressures and greater congestion in the area but I do feel that: 1. By the sounds of it, it is only temporary. 2. In the aftermath of the referendum and the run-up to October 31st the authorities should spend their time ensuring that any issues arising from this temporary situation are better managed and learnt from. 3. We are going through a febrile period in our history. Public announcements from authorities should be calibrated so as to contribute to resolving any issues and minimizing public tensions. |
