| Laura it is one of the worst things that can happen to someone because it throws ones whole sense of security up in the air. You will be getting a call from Victim Support and may be temped to turn their offer of help down but don't. They are a wonderful, wise and understanding bunch and talking to them helps to re-establish your equilibrium and sense of proportion. The police will have put notices through the doors of all your adjacent neighbours asking for information but if you get a moment, do knock on some of the doors yourself as the personal touch can help in making people take notice and also they talk to others and in that way spread the word. Discreet CCTV is one way to go and a discreet internal camera means you have someone you can identify and sooner or later they get caught. All the best to you and do what you can to not let this incident get to you or erode your confidence. |
