The licence that has been requested is only for Thursday, Friday and Saturday with drinks served until 10.30 with Tamp closing at 11.00pm. I am not sure if I am reading the application correctly but there is no request to play live music other than Sunday afternoon.

This isn't likely to be a rowdy bar. It looks set to become somewhere you might go for a quiet coffee or a glass of wine after a meal. I can imagine La Trompette isn't keen because some of their diners will move on down the road after eating rather than lingering and buying extra drinks in the expectation that Tamp will be quieter , more comfortable and cheaper.
