| "The manufacturers claim in the service book.." If those are the official test figures, then it is well known that they are obtained under ideal conditions and are only really much use to compare one vehicle to another. If you went for a run on the M4 during a quiet period and set the cruise control at 40 mph while leaving the a/c switched off you might get somewhere near the official figures, but in normal motoring, especially around London, you wouldn't expect to. |
