Hi all. I'm fundraising again for Hounslow Animal Welfare Society. This isn't my current foster (my mother cat and 4 kittens are doing well and causing havoc as I write!!) but is on behalf of another volunteer foster carer's charge. Mabel was rescued and brought into HAWs with her 5 new born kittens. She was found to have an injury that had taken off the bottom of one of her legs. She also had a previous injury to her tail that hadn't healed properly. We had to wait until she had weaned her kittens but today she and the kittens were well enough that Mabel could have her leg amputated, a further section of her tail amputated to enable it to heal properly and she was spayed. She came through the operation okay this afternoon. HAWs are fundraising for monies to go towards the cost of this operation. Any monies raised above the target of £750 will go towards Mabel's ongoing care and the circa £70k of annual vet bills HAWs pays each year. The Golden Giving site for Mabel is: https://www.goldengiving.com/fundraising/MabelsOperation and the page includes a photograph of this sweet little black cat. If you can spare even £5 I know HAWS will be very grateful. |
