OK, Sam, a majority of voters on the West side of the borough would vote for any candidate put up by the Labour Party. It is improbable that there will be significant Conservative gains in the next borough elections, unless the Corbynista Labour Party really does go into electoral meltdown, as voters in local elections tend to want to punish the national government. There is no sign so far of a LibDem revival, so unless the ICG revives, UKIP gets going locally, or some form of independent grouping gains ground, we have the depressing prospect of Messrs Curran, Mann and Mayne remaining in the ruling group at Fortress Lampton. |
