believe they are actively looking to see how they can reduce their meagre salaries to a sane and acceptable level, but there is no legal mechanism or precedent to allow them to do so. I further have it on good authority, that they are in deep and regular discussions (with themselves) about the possibility of them resigning and reducing their current salaries by 50%, which will then be fixed for a minimum period of 3 years, and a maximum redundancy payment period of one month. An announcement is expected fairly soon...  They are also in negotiations with Bisto and South West Trains.
