I gave Alfie 3 x 10mg Acepromazine maleate tablets, a prescription medication.I'm afraid I have tried all the herbal and hormone treatments.Nothing came close to calming him.I hadn't heard of "thundershirts"and I have no idea how they are supposed to work. However, £35 seems rather a lot to pay for something that 'might' help.Cost wouldn't come into it if they were guaranteed to work, but I have spent a fortune on things that don't work.I hate drugging Alf, but he really is at great risk of injury if we don't tranquilize him.
