I note the BBC regularly referred to the chap caught with home-brewed wine in Saudi Arabia and threatened with a lashing as a "pensioner". Given that he was presumably working in KSA before being caught, it seems unlikely that he was actually drawing a pension, so the term "pensioner" was being sloppily used to suggest a man over the age of - what ? - 65 ? |
