Paul Corcoran: I do not consider "opportunity costs in allocating tax revenue to funding them" for the good reason that the facilities already exist (the capital costs have been met) and the maintainance expenditure is very small. Only financiers analyse "cost centres" in this way and, by doing so, destroy real and valuable communal facilities. Anita Blake: I haven't checked in Hounslow recently, but come over to Hammersmith where you do not have to pay monthly fees to use the sports facilities. You just pay to use once. And as for parking fees: why are you not cycling or walking to the sports grounds??? Keep fit! |
