Certain football leagues will have minimum-standards for facilities that a club will need to offer to visiting teams. Not many teams use Gunnersbury at the moment because the facilities aren't up to scratch. If they were upgraded I think there would be good demand from local clubs to make use of them depending on cost of course. It would be good to see a stipulation that youth sport gets preferential discounted access otherwise teams are forced to charge membership fees that price out less well off children. |
