Yes Georgie, there is.Be careful though because you have to inform the person being arrested what you are doing, and why you are doing it.If you detain someone, that in itself can be unlawful.I can't remember the exact reasons a citizen can make an arrest, but I recall it has to be for an indictable offence.It's covered by the police and criminal evidence (PACE) act.But don't ask me which section covers it. |
