| I think Richard Greenhough has missed the point. I am not advocating regime change in Saudi Arabia. I just want our politicians to step back from allowing our justice system to be corrupted in order to do dubious deals with the Saudis. It was notable that when the German Chancellor opened the doors to Syrian refuges the Saudi response was not to offer to build 300 schools or 300 clinics but to build 300 mosques in Germany. The young man who has been sentenced to death and then to be crucified rook part in a demonstration protesting discrimination against Shias. Richard omits to mention that the public practice of any religion other than Islam is forbidden in Saudi Arabia. Perhaps our Government should take a closer look at what Saudi sponsored imams are teaching in British mosques? |
