Andy, I'm not criticising the way raid was carried out. I didn't see it happen so am in no position to. I have nothing but respect for anyone who enters a house in which there might be someone prepared to shoot them.

What seems to me wrong is a failure by the police to give any assurance to residents that whatever the apparent danger was it is now no longer present. I think this is probably because they raided the wrong property and are therefore a bit embarrassed. However, in the absence of any explanation if a member of your family lived in the road would you be as confident in their safety as you would have been before the raid?
