I wonder whether the problem lies with the extra low-end torque available from electric motors and that drivers who have previously driven petrol/diesel vehicles may not be being re-trained to make allowances for this in their driving style. I assume, however, that it is not a problem when the "new Routemasters" are using their back-up diesels to propel the bus because the batteries are f****ed! |
