So the old bald blighter's followed Benaud to the great pavilion in the sky. An inventive, inspirational and courageous captain who wasn't sufficiently recognised at the time (largely as a result of the poison peddled in the media by those who lamented the passing of the Gentlemen/Players era - "Jim" Swanton in particular). Not the right sort of chap! |
