Yes Jon. Interesting to see the post war 60s moving forward and pop art beginning in the UK with Peter but quickly picked up in the U.S. Allen Jones too ( no relation ) but he was teaching fine art part time along with Bridget Riley, who was working on "curtains" on her days off, when I was a student there. We were all in it together. Ray Davis of the Kinks too bringing his guitar along and throwing paint all over the place. Questioning everything and doing our own thing. A great time painting with light and it worked! Then Andy Warhol arrived on the scene. Those were the days! |
