I left a 6 inch gap at the bottom and as it is 5 years since it was done, it is working well without condensation problems. Because of the cold water tank, we also fitted a small loft heater with an automatic frost stat which comes on at 5C degrees. This is a bit more than we need but would prefer not to have a burst tank if we have a very cold spell in winter. |
